The online platform for Chaos Vantage users to submit, vote, and collaborate on suggestions and feedback.
Hello,
I would like to suggest adding a full-featured sequencer/timeline to Chaos Vantage, which would allow more flexible work with animation and cameras. Currently, the built-in timeline is very limited and does not support many useful workflows.
What would be helpful to see:
The ability to add an audio track for synchronizing animation with sound.
Tools for trimming clips directly within the sequencer.
The ability to insert imported cameras and apply lighting/sun settings available in Vantage, with real-time viewport preview.
Currently, it is possible to place cameras imported from 3ds Max, but the program does not allow applying individual sun settings to them as it does with the base camera angles. When playing back animation between different imported cameras, there is no automatic switching of sun settings, even if each camera has different assigned sun settings.
Support for object animation with keyframe insertion directly in the sequencer (similarly to how it works in Enscape Envision).
More convenient handling of multiple sequences, clips, and transitions.
Without these features, the potential of Vantage as a tool for creating fully animated videos directly within the program is significantly hindered.
I hope the developers will consider implementing these functions — it would greatly speed up workflows and reduce reliance on external software for post-production and editing.
Thank you!
