Implementation of VRayDistanceTex map (V-Ray distance texture)
I really would like to see VRayDistanceTex map implemented in Chaos Vantage. We do a lot of street animations and this would we very useful for pedestrian crossings etc.
Currently only bitmaps are supported for opacity in Vantage. Adding support for procedural textures such a noise, gradient, falloff, etc will enable achieving more complex results.
Many assets imported from external software into 3ds Max are imported as Physical Material. Since VRay already has a conversion to convert Physical Material to VRayMtl, it might be useful if Vantage could also interpret basic Physical Materials as...
